General Manager
Wisper Internet is seeking a full time exempt General Manager to join our Field Operations team. In this role, the primary responsibility will be oversight of all staff, budgets and operations of the local business unit while formulating the overall growth strategy for the area and implementing best practices adhering to the Wisper Way. The General Manager must be a thoughtful leader, a confident decision-maker, and a guide for ensuring that our customers experience excellent service. (Think of this role as the "Mayor" of the local business unit.)
Essential Job Functions
•Oversee day-to-day operations
•Build excellent working relationships with respective communities, staff, industry peers, vendors, contractors, &supporters
•Design strategy & set goals for growth
•Maintain budgets & optimize expenses
•Drive sales goals for the area
•Set & follow established policies & processes utilizing The Wisper Way
•Ensure employees work productively & develop professionally
•Oversee recruitment & training of new employees
•Evaluate & improve operations & financial performance
•Direct the employee assessment process
•Prepare regular reports for leadership
•Ensure staff follows health & safety regulations
•Provide solutions to issues (e.g., profit decline, employeeconflicts, loss of business to competitors)
•Other duties as directed
Job Requirements
•High school diploma or equivalent
•4+ years of knowledge of installation & maintenance inwireless industry or similar field is preferred
•2+ years' experience with ISP, telecom, cable or wirelessindustry
•2+ years working knowledge of computer skills, includingbut not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SalesCRM programs
•2+ years' experience in administering processes & policiesas they relate to safety, attendance, performance work rules & code of conduct
•2 + years' experience with communication systems & tools
•2 + years' experience providing training, feedback &motivation to employees
•Legally authorized to work in country of employmentwithout requiring sponsorship for employment visa status,now or in the future
•Must pass a background check, MVR & drug screen
Desired Skills & Competencies
•2+ years' experience leading P&L is preferred
•Strong organizational, time-priority management & results-driven leadership skills
•Proven experience as a General Manager or similarleadership role
•Ability to create a motivating positive environment whileinstilling a culture of accountability
•Experience in planning & budgeting
•Strong interpersonal, presentation & excellentcommunication skills
•Problem-solving aptitude
•Business acumen with results-driven focus
•Customer & client focus
•Ability to build strong relationships in local communities

Working Conditions
•Fast-paced environment with multiple changes toschedules & fluctuating priorities
•Work is performed primarily inside an office at a desk orwithin a warehouse setting but may include outdoors in all weather conditions
