GEOKON's sales associates are our frontline professionals that provide our customers with a superior buying experience of our geotechnical instruments and dataloggers. We are searching for a qualified sales associate to add to our team, and to provide the excellent customer service and support we’re known for in our industry. The ideal candidate should be an excellent communicator who has a knack for building relationships, and familiar with the geotechnical field. With a proven background of sold customer satisfaction, the sales associate answers questions, handles complaints, and maintains positive relationships. Essential Functions:

  • Be able to establishing personal rapport with potential and current customers. 
  • Answer incoming sales opportunities via web query, phone call, or direct email. 
  • Provide sales support to outside sales team as needed.
  • Assist customers in identifying the required and/or appropriate instrumentation for their application/project specifications.
  • Provide technical product information. Explain sensor use and installation.
  • Work with engineering, custom electronics, and production to provide modified or custom products.
  • Prepare quotes by studying specifications and related customer documents; consulting with engineers and other professional and technical personnel.
  • Follow up on quoted projects.
  • Receive and review purchase orders and contracts, submits orders via the ERP System, record and maintain customer contact data in company filing system and CRM.
  • Provide after-sales customer service and support.
  • Trade Show travel is possible.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (Preferred) Civil Engineering, Geology, Marketing, Sales, Business or equivalent technical sales experience.

3 to 5 years of work experience (required)

  • Geotechnical Instrumentation or sensor experience preferred
  • Fluent Spanish language/speaking preferred
  • Managing and interpreting customer requirements and project applications
  • General knowledge of a wide range of Civil Engineering projects and terminology
  • Negotiating skills 
  • A strong technical background
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of the product line and technical attributes
  • Continual awareness of industry related competition, existing and new technologies
  • Sound judgement and business sense
