General Summary:

Able Hose & Rubber is looking for a reliable Office Administrator to join the team. They will undertake a variety of administrative tasks, ensuring the Inside Sales team has adequate support to work efficiently, and daily transaction details are communicated to our accounting team in Oregon. The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision. The Office Administrator ensures the smooth running of our company’s offices and contributes to driving sustainable growth.

 

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Performing clerical duties including data entry, filing and document management.
  • Managing front desk operations, greeting clients/visitors and handling inquiries in a courteous manner
  • Supporting Inside Sales team, Accounting and Branch Manager.
  • Processing payments (cash, card, etc.), monitoring petty cash, and coordinating with our headquarters in Oregon.  
  • Managing office supplies and materials
  • Other administrative tasks assigned as needed.

 

 

Education:

 High School Diploma, Associate Degree in accounting preferred but not required. 

Experience:

At least three years of related experience required.

Skills & Abilities:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Must be self-reliant and self-motivating. 
  • The ability to multi-task and manage multiple customer situations simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of general office administration and accounting.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. 

Contact with others:

Regular daily routine requires contact with other employees, sales, and management. Maintains an extremely high level of confidentiality.

Supervision Received:

Works under direct supervision of the Branch Manager and Controller.
