We are seeking a Tool Crib Attendant that will be responsible for managing and maintaining the tool crib, ensuring that tools and equipment are organized, accessible, and in good working condition at our Ideal Tridon Smyrna, TN Plant.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday *overtime as needed*
Shift: 2nd Shift 3:00pm-11:00pm
Job Summary:
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receives, inspects, and catalogs incoming tools and equipment.
- Maintains an organized and clean tool crib area.
- Maintains accuracy and accountability for tool crib inventory.
- Monitors tool inventory levels and reorders supplies as necessary.
- Performs routine maintenance and repairs on tools and equipment.
- Keeps accurate records of tool transactions and inventory levels.
- Assists in the implementation of tool-tracking systems and procedures.
- Provides support to employees regarding tool selection and usage.
- Ensures compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of tools and equipment commonly used in the industry.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with office equipment.
- Working knowledge of scanning tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and AS400.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Familiarity with tool crib management systems is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and/or sitting and reaching with hands and arms.
- May occasionally climb stairs, drive vehicles, and operate equipment.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time.
