Join our Legacy
Reporting to the Director of Operations the Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and developing the site’s Maintenance Program and Maintenance Team in a manner that supports the attainment of company objectives, goals, standards, budgets, and production requirements. The Maintenance Manager leverages an extensive hands-on working knowledge of modern production equipment systems, a deep understanding of reactive, preventative, and predictive maintenance principles and approaches, and an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement of the maintenance organization.
This leader excels at productive resource allocation and problem resolution in a high-speed, fast-paced, complex and dynamic operational environment. He/she has excellent communication skills, proven leadership coaching and team-building skills, self-starter initiative and drive, and a bias for action coupled with process orientated problem solving.
Your Contribution to Excellence
• Enhance site operational performance by leading the Maintenance Excellence initiative to achieve optimal equipment reliability, uptime, and availability.
• Oversees maintenance teams, programs, and processes to support consistent reliability and availability of plant equipment and systems.
• Sets and upholds high work standards and expectations for maintenance team members.
• Develops staff personnel through various combinations of formal training, teamwork exercises, and technical skill building activities and assignments.
• Coordinates with other management staff to ensure efficiency in preventative maintenance and new equipment installation.
• Oversees facilities design and inspection, equipment repair and installation. • Champions the use and leveraging of the Plant’s Computerized Maintenance Management System
• Guides the Maintenance team to perform in alignment with the site’s Safety, Quality, and Environmental/Regulatory/Safe Quality Food policies and procedures.
• Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
• Meets project or department milestones and stays within budget.
• Collaborates with Engineering and Operations regularly to ensure needs are aligned.
• Monitors inventory management to track and maintain spares and specialized tooling.
• Develops and maintains maintenance procedures & schedules for existing and future equipment.
• Ensures adherence to a safe work culture and improve upon safety as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
What you Bring to the Table
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field, with 5 to 7 years of experience.
• Leadership experience of 3 to 5 years.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize, plan and work on multiple strategic and tactical work items.
• Well-organized, self-motivated, and detail oriented, with the ability to plan and execute job tasks independently.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) and/or Certified Professional Maintenance Manager (CPMM) or equivalent.
• Previous Maintenance Supervision experience combined with demonstrated strong team building skills and professional values.
• Strong computer skills, specifically the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
