Function
Performs report writing, software maintenance, technical support, documentation and administration of various applications. Works independently and with teams on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Performs data analysis and report writing. Including the implementation of procedures for coordinating, preparation, and reporting of statistical analysis/reports.

Responsibilities:
- Confers with other departments and offices regularly to identify Information Systems needs and determines how the desired results can be achieved.
- Provides technical support for District wide Information Systems and Applications received via email, phone or work order, etc.
- Utilizes a district supported work order management system to process all customer support requests.
- Prepares various statistical reports as required / assigned by the immediate supervisor or Director of Information Systems
- Coordinates with District staff for preparation of reports.
- Performs data validation on existing reports, programs and data systems
- Inventories reports, programs and data system screens to build knowledge base of each data repository and data elements accessed by the District
- Identifies areas of improvement, provides recommendations and implements steps to ensure data quality of existing reports, programs and data systems
- Performs data extraction and data loading to and from data systems and data files to ensure accurate data is reflected in target system and addresses issues with campus staff and or central administrative staff to help ensure consistent data across systems.
- Defines, creates and implements steps to provide a means to validate data
- Creates reports in Cognos, Excel and Microsoft Word and takes steps to learn the best way to report data
- Prepares information as needed for teachers, administrators, Board of Trustees.
- Analyzes existing systems and programs and develops or recommends new systems or modifications to existing systems;
- Reviews and analyzes system specifications to determine whether all required elements have been included.
- Consults with administrators to gather information about program needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements.
- Compares requirements to existing systems before recommending modifications or new applications;
- Provide technical assistance to program users;
- Ensure requests for services are promptly handled and that proper procedures are developed to maintain consistency of service;
- Serve as a resource to programming staff for system testing as appropriate;
- Serve as a resource to users in identifying file or data problems and suggest methods for corrective procedures;
- Drives to campuses and other district facilities to discuss, evaluate or obtain data from various sources.
- Develops a method to tracks projects, expenditures and funding needs for technology services.
- Provides technical support to various systems.
- Prepares printed documents for distribution to customers.
- Read and interpret technical material;
- Interpret applicable state and federal laws and rules;
- Write Ad-hoc reports using query and report writing tools to assist clients;
- Work with all levels of school districts and meet their needs accordingly.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Attends professional association meetings, workshops, and trainings.
