PRIMARY PURPOSE: Maintain employee hours, run bi-weekly and monthly payroll reports.
QUALIFICATIONS TEA certification requirements High School Graduate or GED Payroll experience preferred Computer literate Knowledgeable of Federal Employment Laws Able to meet deadlines Good communication skills Follow orders
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: • Explain employment forms (W-4, I-9 etc.) to all employees as needed. • Explain school benefits (Insurance, TRS, Sick Leave, etc.) to all employees as needed. • File employment forms with Payroll Department and Central Office. • Explain use of Kronos Time Clock. • Prepare employee identification cards. • Maintain records in database. • Review time sheets for accuracy and notify coordinator of any irregularities. • Data entry of mispunches, trip numbers, daily absence and substitutions. • Help coordinate trip scheduling. • Keep overtime under control. • Calculate estimated payrolls and later make adjustments. • Prepare bi-weekly and monthly payrolls. • Maintain track of any comp time. • Calculate weighted average pay. • Prepare bi-weekly forms and special payroll worksheets. • Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others. • Performs other related duties as assigned.
