40 hours per week Initial hours of assignment: 6:00am -2:30pm (Sat - Wed) (Per contract: Subject to alternate shift) 12 months per school year
Shift may be altered temporarily to facilitate training of a new staff member for a mutually agreed upon period of time.

NOTE: Verifiable part-time and/or volunteer experience will be pro-rated toward meeting full-time experience requirements.
Special Requirements: Good knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of general grounds maintenance; working knowledge of the methods used in propagating, planting, cultivating, pruning and general care of plants, flowers, shrubs and lawns; working knowledge of the growth characteristics of flowers, plants and bulbs; good knowledge of methods, equipment and materials used in snow plowing and maintenance of roadways, paths, entrances and exits to buildings; ability to get along well with others; initiative and resourcefulness; ability to follow written and oral instructions; industry and dependability; good judgement; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position. This title in this department is subject to adjusted work hours during Winter Months for th purpose of snow removal needs within WCSD
Reports to: Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Grounds Crew Chief, the Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds or his/her assistant, but many tasks assigned may be routine and repetitive in nature, and once learned can be carried on without difficulty and only general supervision.
