**Prior experience working as a Sterile Processing Tech or Surg Tech strongly preferred. Must have current or prior experience working in a Surgical Services setting.**


 

Job Summary

Assists users to understand clinical and/or business workflows, define functional requirements, convey requirements to colleagues engaged in software design and configuration activities, execute test scripts and user acceptance testing, and provide software support services.

Essential Functions:
• Support and educate users on the use of applications. Prepare end-user training materials.
• Create and run reports as needed
• Document and analyze business processes and workflows to drive business process improvements and ensure accurate system configuration. Where possible, identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Understand user requirements; translate these into functional requirements and assist user with submission for software updates.
• Develop and execute user acceptance testing plans including creation of test cases.
• Communicate status of various team efforts to leadership and other stakeholders, including preparing presentations in collaboration with senior staff.
• Assist in identifying and recommending best practices for business analysis, training, and end user support functions.
• Manages surgeon preference cards with correct supplies and instrumentation/ equipment- adapts quickly to changes within the preference card
• Manages materials and items within the surgical department, assigning them to preference cards and ensuring charge capabilities are in place
• Aligns surgical instrumentation sets on cards to be available for surgical procedures to fulfill physician needs for every service and procedure
• Tracks card item usage making recommendations for changes and updates to lists
• Understands the OR/CSR processes and the relationship of accurate cards to allow staff to prepare case carts in all services
• Works closely and collaboratively with OR nursing staff and SPD staff to ensure card updates are accurate and timely


 

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Information Systems preferred


Experience

  • Prior experience working as a CSR or Surg Tech strongly preferred.
  • Experience in information technology, working with business or clinical systems 2-3 years required and Experience providing training and support to end users


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to effectively translate business requirements to functional requirements.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Ability to effectively conduct small to mid-sized meetings, both formal and informal.
  • Ability to learn quickly and share insights with teammates.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including facilitation and presentation.
