Job Summary
Summary Responsible for responding to internal and external requests for exam results and preparing images for doctor or patient requests. Also, responsible for oversight in regards to prioritization of image interpretations, first line support for imaging informatics troubleshooting, and also resolving specific issues relevant to patient care internally and externally. Also, responsible for leading a team of peers and providing technical guidance.

Essential Functions -Organizes daily workflow of images.
-Assists hospital staff in the execution of their duties by acting as a resource person for timely, effective use of services, both in electronic and manual modalities.
-Downloads images from other institutions into the Electronic Health Record system.
-Routinely checks Electronic Health Record system to ensure that studies are flowing from the acquisition modalities and are properly routed to the review stations to assure a clinical continuity of service.
-Initiates and follows through with tracking missing images to point of acquisition.
-Documents transmission of images to Electronic Health Record system and follows through with notification of person.
-Assist with administrative and clerical duties as needed.
-Provides leadership and technical guidance to peers.
