Athletics Engagement Coordinator at Flagler College

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the management and oversight of athletics facilities.
  • Collaborates with Institutional Advancement and Athletics administration in the coordination of the Crimson & Gold Athletics Banquet, including ticket sales, venue procurement, silent auction items, catering, and marketing and promotion. Assists with securing event sponsorships.
  • Works alongside Athletics administration and Special Events to coordinate all aspects of the President’s Golf Classic.
  • Coordinates the Friends of Flagler Athletics Social and other events as assigned.
  • Manage “helper-helper” app for logging team community service hours:
  • Coordinates the Department’s community engagement events, including the Women’s Luncheon, Athletics Hall of Fame, Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, and other events as assigned.
  • Coordinates all student-athlete engagement events, including the Student-Athlete Welcome Back, Saints Choice Awards, and other events as assigned.
  • Actively markets and promotes all home Athletics events in conjunction with Athletics Communications.
  • Develops and implements in-game promotions for all home ticketed events, utilizing corporate and community partners for engagement opportunities when available.
  • Works alongside the Senior Associate Director of Athletics for External Operations to communicate monthly with corporate partners and provide appropriate customer service per their sponsorship agreements.
  • Assists with game-day operations and facilities projects as needed.
  • Performs duties in other areas as assigned by the Director of Athletics or Senior Associate Director of Athletics for External Operations including, but not limited to, facilities management, game operations, athletics development, athletics communications, business services, etc.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Athletics administration experience.

CHARACTERISTICS PREFERRED
  • Demonstrated leadership ability;
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, verbally and written, professionally and effectively;
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills;
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office and various software programs;
  • Positive, enthusiastic approach to job responsibilities;
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team, placing departmental and institutional priorities above personal advancement.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master’s degree;
  • Specific experience with event management and donor relations.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends is required. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and make measured decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to retain NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Ability to focus for long periods of time. 
  • Flexibility in daily tasks.
