The Facilities Program Manager is responsible for developing, leading, and implementing the strategic vision of the Company for our 17-story building in downtown Kansas City.  This position will be influential in the Company’s strategy to continue to adapt space needs for a hybrid workforce.

The Program Manager will align project requirements and deliverables with the strategic and tactical goals of the organization and establish and nurture positive relationships with project sponsors, suppliers, and associates.  This position will also be responsible for internal facilities operations such as overseeing space planning, mail room activities and food services.

 

Day to day, you’ll..

  • Oversee the day-to-day facility operations of two corporate owned locations – a 585,000 square foot building in downtown Kansas City, an 87,000 square foot technology center in Kansas City, MO, and a small, leased office space in Washington DC
  • Administer space planning and execution of projects for above spaces, including the data center, associate workspaces, meeting & collaboration spaces, copy rooms, break rooms, underground parking garage
  • Manage and plan for a $14M annual operating budget including short-term and long-term maintenance
  • Oversee large scale building projects including design, oversight, and communication to internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Lead a facilities team of 4 plus outsourced suppliers providing internal facilities services including, but not limited to, food services (cafeteria, coffee shop and catering), mail processing, furniture setup and modifications, copy room supplies management, coffee / break room support, janitorial services, etc.
  • Lead an engineering team of 5 providing, planning, and overseeing all building routine and project maintenance
  • Display a Better Together approach when collaborating with internal stakeholders, including legal, sourcing, and executive admins.
What you'll bring to the team...:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience.

Work Experience:

  • 10 years of Real Estate or Facilities management or comparable management experience
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization, managing cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and partner with various levels management and staff
  • Proactive and resourceful in both short-term and long-term goals
  • Proven project management and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with an attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
It would be even better if you also had...:
• Certified Facility Manager (CFM) credential
• Project Management Professional (PMP) credential
• AutoCAD
• Lease experience
