Leggett and Platt is currently seeking an Inventory Control Clerk for our Drawn Wire Division in Carthage Missouri. 

General Job Qualifications:

  • Must be able to write legibly and have good math skills
  • Ability to make basic arithmetic calculations requiring addition, subtraction, muliplication and division
  • Knowledge of maintenance tools
  • Ability to excercise safe work practices
  • Ability to work effectively with others and be a team member
  • Must demonstrate the ability to successfully complete the required training
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs for a short distance 

General job duties:

  • Maintain orderly arrangement of all parts and supplies, including dies, nibs, and collars
  • Safeguard inventories against theft, preventable waste, and unauthorized use. 
  • Maintain and process accurate inventory records (data-entry and relieving)
  • Issue parts and or necessary tooling
  • Inspecting, receiving and stocking inventory as needed
  • Assist with physical inventory counts
  • Identify damaged inventory
  • Deliver parts and supplies to appropriate requestors when necessary
  • Recognize wrong parts and take the appropriate action to correct the problem
  • Follow instructions and work under general supervision
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding pricing and vendor information
