About the Role

As a Senior Commercial HVAC Field Technical Support Specialist, you’ll provide advanced technical support to technicians and key stakeholders, resolving complex HVAC issues and ensuring operational excellence. You’ll leverage expertise in diverse HVAC systems, including VRF/VRV and controls, to drive safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise: Provide Level 2 support for complex HVAC issues, troubleshoot, repair, and guide maintenance for systems like VRF/VRV, chillers, boilers, and air handling units.
  • Project Support: Assist installation teams on complex projects, evaluate sites, and support commissioning activities.
  • Safety & Compliance: Champion safety, health, and environmental standards, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Training & Knowledge Sharing: Develop and deliver training, create technical documentation, and share best practices for HVAC systems and controls.
  • Data & Reporting: Manage data integrity, verify reports, and configure tools like FastField for quality assurance.
  • Collaboration: Work with vendors, clients, and internal teams (e.g., Install Managers, Quality Control, IRC) to enhance processes and customer outcomes.
  • Innovation: Propose efficiency improvements, contribute to corporate programs, and maintain a comprehensive HVAC knowledge base.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associate degree or equivalent experience in HVAC, mechanical engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years as an HVAC technician in both installation and service.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems (VRF/VRV, chillers, boilers, air handling units), strong troubleshooting, and proficiency with diagnostic tools.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with controller configurations and diagnostic software.
  • Certifications: NATE or similar industry certifications preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Other: Valid driver’s license, willingness to travel, and availability for support beyond standard hours (evenings, weekends, holidays).
