Training and Development Coordinator
The Training and Development Coordinator is responsible for organizing, developing, and tracking training programs across the manufacturing facility. This role ensures employees are properly trained in safety, quality, compliance, and job-specific skills, while also supporting ongoing development initiatives. The Training Coordinator works closely with operations leaders, subject matter experts, and HR to ensure training supports both employee success and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule new hire orientation, onboarding, and required safety training.
- Develop, update, and maintain training materials, work instructions, and training records.
- Partner with supervisors, managers, and technical experts to identify training needs.
- Track and report employee training completion, certifications, and re-certifications.
- Support hands-on job training and help evaluate employee skill proficiency.
- Maintain training database or Learning Management System (LMS).
- Communicate training schedules, requirements, and expectations to employees and supervisors.
- Assist with developing career path programs, cross-training initiatives, and leadership development.
- Continuously improve training processes to increase engagement, effectiveness, and compliance.
Qualifications
- Preferred but not required: BS or associate’s degree in training development, Education, Business Administration, or related field. Will consider work experience in leu of degree.
- 2+ years of experience in training coordination, HR, or manufacturing ideal.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with LMS or training databases.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
