Controls Project Engineer
ACES s is seeking a Controls Project Engineer to joint their growing team. This role will be responsible for applying engineering principles and practices for work on assigned projects and for creating installation drawings, submittal drawings, as-built drawings, and validation of system operation. Works directly on the project team to perform project commissioning and startup.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other functions may be assigned.
- Responsible for creating installation drawings, submittal drawings, as-built drawings and final validation of system operation.
- Responsible for designing and estimating activities utilizing direct digital controls and automation systems for comfort control and energy savings.
- Assists project team as required
- Reviews equipment submittals for incorporation into design.
- Responsible for the sequence of operations which meet the project requirements.
- Responsible for reviewing contract documents and conducting job surveys.
- Manages multiple projects.
- Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communication with staff, as needed, and providing customer feedback.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 1+ years of experience working in the mechanical, BAS, or electrical engineering fields, OR 4+ years of experience working in the BAS controls engineering/technician field
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Excel and engineering drawing tools (Visio highly preferred)
- Familiarity with the concepts of new construction and renovation/retrofit
- Familiarity with the operation of energy management systems, HVAC systems, and temperature controls preferred
- Ability to go to travel to on-site projects as needed
