Working Student (m/f/d) Regional Transshipment Planning at Hapag-Lloyd AG

Responsibilities
- Support on open transhipment requests and plan transhipment connection
- Assign voyage to transhipment request and ensure correct terminal
- Review the import and export volumes at the transhipment port assigning the preferred route, and faster and cost-effective connection available
- (Re-)arrange terminal haulage or off-dock storage during transhipment
- Monitor transhipment connection and rollover of transhipment units in case of misconnection
- Create feeder Work Orders (WO) and submit WOs to the vendors
- Create Transport exceptions (TREX) for transhipment use cases
- Inform the origin and destination offices about transhipment cargo inspection as well as the additional charges incurred in transhipment ports to ensure additional expenses are recovered from the shipper or customer account
- Handling of customs and veterinary issues
- Handling of SAP Invoice Exceptions
Qualifications
- You are studying full-time in a shipping-related degree program, business administration, transport management or a comparable degree program
- Ideally, you already have practical experience in the shipping, logistics or freight forwarding industry - but this is not required
- An independent, detailed and systematic way of working is a matter of course for you
- You have strong communication skills, an analytical mindset and team spirit
- Additionally, you possess good communication skills in English (both spoken and written) and, preferably, in German as well
- You already have practical experience with using MS Office programs (Word, Excel & Outlook)
