The HR Specialist plays a key role in supporting core human resources functions, including workers’ compensation, FMLA administration, onboarding, and employee relations support. This role also contributes to HR projects, fosters cross-departmental collaboration, and builds strong working relationships with leaders across the organization.

Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
- Manage the full lifecycle of workers’ compensation claims, including reporting, documentation, coordination with insurance providers, and return-to-work planning.
- Administer FMLA, ADA, and other leave of absence programs in accordance with legal requirements and internal policies.
- Track and maintain leave records and coordinate closely with payroll and benefits.
- Facilitates new hire orientation and supports completion of onboarding documentation, including I-9 verification.
- Assist in the planning and execution of HR initiatives and special projects related to core HR functions (e.g., job description updates, engagement initiatives, compliance audits).
- Serve as a point of contact for employee HR-related questions, providing timely and accurate information.
- Maintain employee records in the HRIS and assist with data integrity and reporting.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Perform all duties within contract, state and federal regulations, company policy, and regulatory agency standards.
- May be required to drive vehicles, be insurable with our auto insurance provider, and complete company vehicle training.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or 3 years in HR. Experience with HRIS or ATS systems required. PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
