The Biology Department is seeking a candidate for the Biology 201 and Greenhouse Lab Assistant.

 Hourly Rate: $15.49/hour

Main Responsibilities: 

Biology 201 Responsibilities 

  •  Assist with the set-up/breakdown of Biology 201 Labs   
  •  Clean and maintain equipment and glassware   
  •  Maintain safe, clean working environment  
  •  Maintain consistent work schedule, which includes working 3 hours on Friday afternoons 

     

     

    Greenhouse Responsibilities

  • Clean pots and trays in the Greenhouse
  • Assist as needed with other Greenhouse duties
  • Consistently work 3 hours a week in the Greenhouse or
    elsewhere in the department, according to availability

Learning Objectives: 

  •  Learn aseptic techniques and basic pipetting skills
  •  Learn how to follow basic lab protocols

     

Preferred Qualifications:

  •  Lab experience preferred but not required
  •  Exhibit responsibility, independence, and self-motivation
