The Biology Department is seeking a candidate for the Biology 201 and Greenhouse Lab Assistant.
Hourly Rate: $15.49/hour
Main Responsibilities:
Biology 201 Responsibilities
- Assist with the set-up/breakdown of Biology 201 Labs
- Clean and maintain equipment and glassware
- Maintain safe, clean working environment
Maintain consistent work schedule, which includes working 3 hours on Friday afternoons
Greenhouse Responsibilities
- Clean pots and trays in the Greenhouse
- Assist as needed with other Greenhouse duties
- Consistently work 3 hours a week in the Greenhouse or
elsewhere in the department, according to availability
Learning Objectives:
- Learn aseptic techniques and basic pipetting skills
Learn how to follow basic lab protocols
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lab experience preferred but not required
Exhibit responsibility, independence, and self-motivation
