MAJOR FUNCTION:

The 340B Program Coordinator is responsible for the oversight, operational management, and compliance of the hospital’s 340B Drug Pricing Program. This includes ensuring adherence to all federal 340B regulations, optimizing financial benefits, preventing diversion and duplicate discounts, and supporting cross-departmental collaboration to integrate the 340B program into the organization’s operations.

The 340B Program Coordinator provides daily oversight of the 340B Drug Pricing Program across the health system. This role ensures strict compliance with HRSA, state, and federal regulations, supports program value optimization, and maintains accountabilities for all 340B operations. The coordinator ensures program compliance, audit readiness, financial performance support, and departmental collaboration while directly engaging in daily operational workflows to ensure accuracy and integrity of program data.

This position serves as a subject matter resource for 340B, acting as liaison to Pharmacy, Finance, IT, Compliance, Legal, and external vendors. The coordinator ensures Inspira Health achieves maximum program benefit while mitigating compliance risk.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 340B University course completion required within one year of employment date. 
  • 3–5 years of direct 340B program experience in a hospital or health system environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise with split-billing software (Verity preferred), wholesaler applications, and pharmacy purchasing systems.
  • Experience in retail and/or hospital revenue cycle processes related to drug purchasing, billing, and reimbursement.
  • Experience in financial analysis, savings/cost-avoidance reporting, and vendor relationship management.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy automation platforms and integration with 340B tracking tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across pharmacy, finance, compliance, IT, and legal functions.

 Certification/ Licensure:

  • Apexus Advanced 340B Operations Certificate required. 

Knowledge & Skills: 

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel (pivot tables, data validation, financial modeling).
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret data from EMR systems (Cerner, Epic) and align with 340B compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex workflows.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex 340B data and compliance issues to stakeholders and senior leadership.
