POSITION SUMMARY:

Plan production commitments based on current orders and forecasts. Create and maintain the daily production schedule for rubber mixing and processing.  Create, maintain and close out transfer orders, purchase orders as well as Sales and Work orders.  Prepare completed shop packet for OSI-Arlington to invoice outside customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process incoming purchase/transfer orders into Glovia.
  • Create and maintain purchase orders as well as Sales and Work orders in Glovia for purchasing and manufacturing.
  • Schedule daily manufacturing activities to meet customer delivery dates while maximizing efficiency, resources and capacity.
  • Scan completed shop packet into Master Control.
  • Maintain the Aging Report status with Accounting for overdue customer payments, contact customers who are late and obtain payment arrangements.
  • Enter all manufacturing times and materials used into the Glovia Work Orders
  • Contact customers regarding pricing and delivery requirements.
  • Contact vendors regarding the status of purchase orders and assist in the resolution of any related issues.
  • Send signed purchase orders to Accounts Payable.
  • Close the Work Orders in Glovia.
  • Assure that the shipping documents show correct weights compared to weight mixed
  • Prepare completed shop packet for OSI-Arlington to invoice outside customers.
  • Perform month end closing functions in preparation for Period Roll from Accounting Department.
  • Cross-train and provide back-up support for Shipping/Receiving personnel and the Materials Planner.
  • Copy and keep a set of all safety report and inspection forms. Send one copy to the HSE Department at month end and upload our copy into MasterControl.
  • Create and maintain new processes, procedures and work instructions as needed as well as participate in audits for OSI/API certification. 
  • General office filing and scanning into the company’s document control system.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Computer experience – proficient using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Demonstrated proficiency using an ERP/MRP system for sales, work orders and invoicing is preferred.  Experience using Glovia software a plus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using a document control system is preferred.  Experience using MasterControl a plus.
  • Use and understand basic math and accounting principles.
  • Self-motivated.  Must be able to solve problems and learn new things with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.  Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with people. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and in writing. 
  • Attention to detail is a must.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Use of a computer, telephone and other office equipment, including copier/scanner, etc.
  • Prolonged sitting.
  • Frequent standing and walking. 
  • Daily climbing of long staircase, sometimes multiple times a day.
  • Occasional stooping, bending, carrying, reaching.
  • Occasionally lifting and carrying less than 30 lbs.
