Hands of Heartland is looking for compassionate and caring individuals to work with the people we support as an In-Home Support Professional/ Direct Support Professional for our in-home settings in O'Neil, NE.
What You’ll Do: You will work directly with people with developmental disabilities assisting and supporting them with day to day living activities. You will support individuals with various activities in a home environment and in community settings. You must display a strong sense of professionalism since you will be going into other people’s homes.
Key Responsibilities for position:
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as hygiene, dressing, mobility, and meal preparation, based on the individual’s level of need.
- Support the individual in developing and maintaining skills, which could include money management, household chores, self-advocacy, and communication. Based on individual's needs, goals, and support plan.
- Implement goals and objectives from the individual’s person-centered support plan and document progress as required.
- Monitor and promote the individual’s health and well-being while following safety protocols.
- Encourage social interaction and community inclusion through meaningful activities and relationship building.
- This position requires you to transport individuals in a motor vehicle.
Shifts and Hours Needed: Weekdays. Flexible scheduling is available as some shift hours may vary depending upon the individual's needs.
Skillset Needed for the Job: Ability to work independently in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Flexible and willing to adapt to change. Know the value of communication. Desire to support people and encourage them to reach goals.

Requirements: Must be 18 years old. Must have a valid driver’s license and car insurance. Must be able to pass all background checks. Experience not required.
Pay: $16.50/ hour is starting pay. Pay range is $16.50/hr.- $18/hr. based on experience. We pay more for experience and if you have a CNA license. Incentives also available.
