As the head trainer, you'll establish the standard for passion, energy, and effort among the trainer staff, overseeing quality control and ensuring the delivery of a unique and exceptional class experience. Here's how you'll make it happen:

Objectives of this role:

  • Foster, support, and value diversity, equality, and inclusion in the workplace
  • Maintain a network of high performing trainers within your studios.
    • Conduct class review and feedback sessions with individual trainers. 
    • Execution of quarterly trainer goal setting and reviews, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Implementation of new programming and procedures at the studio level through programming roll out meetings.
    • Management of coaching staff schedules and sub scheduling.
  • Lead employee culture through organizing events like run clubs and trainer continuing education.
    • Spearhead community activations and events for your studio and members in tandem with the Studio Manager.
    • Develop and orchestrate monthly continuing education training.
  • Demonstrate adherence to brand standards through the delivery of high-quality Nike Studio classes.
    • Conduct a minimum of 10 classes per week.
  • Supervise the facility and ensure proper maintenance of equipment. 
    • Oversee all studio equipment and technology needs.
  • Perform other related projects/duties as assigned.

Requirements

 

Your skill set: 

  • 2+ years teaching group fitness and experience successfully managing groups.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent active listening skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).   
  • Proven ability to manage trainer relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team and multiple cross-functional project teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • This is a physically demanding role. This role is required to safely demonstrate and perform various exercise movements with and/or without the use of equipment and have the ability to transport equipment (up to 100 lbs.)
  • Ability to perform an aerobic activity for duration of a class, which may include, but not limited to, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, running, crawling, and kneeling
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. To complete the essential functions this role, candidates must be able to communicate with members and/or co-workers in spaces with moderate to loud levels of volume
  • Follow established departmental policies, procedures, safety protocols and procedures
