How You Will Help
- Serve as a technical resource for the sales team and customers by answering product-related questions and guiding product selection based on application needs.
- Estimate the cost and lead time of special design products for Customer Service, and work with outside vendors as needed to procure necessary products.
- Provide cross-functional support to internal departments including Customer Service, Order Entry, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance.
- Design custom products and modify existing designs to meet customer requirements and applicable codes. Prepare manufacturing drawings upon completion of designs.
- Review and interpret customer drawings, specifications, and purchase orders to define project scope and requirements.
- Analyze hanger specifications to determine appropriate types, placement, and clearances for hangers, piping, and support components.
- Conduct calculations including support load, thermal movement, and structural analysis as needed.
- Create detailed pipe support sketches using AutoCAD in accordance with customer needs and relevant codes.
- Review and mark up structural and piping drawings, checking for interferences and alignment within the support design.
- Create and maintain product structures and routing in MRP system to support efficient manufacturing processes.
- Perform additional tasks and special projects as directed by the Engineering Manager.
What You Will Bring
- 1-5 years of experience in manufacturing or related engineering environment.
- The ability to use internal process knowledge to estimate lead times
- Strong ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience with working in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Experience in using AutoCAD and SolidWorks software.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related discipline preferred).
