Description: 1.0 FTE Spanish Teacher at Hayes Elementary School
Job Summary: Within federal and state law and regulations and district policy and practice:
Responsible for the management of the instructional program for assigned students. Responsible to establish and maintain an atmosphere conducive to learning within the classroom and assist in same throughout the building
Responsible for the assessment of student progress
Responsible for other duties as assigned by the building principal which are necessary to fulfill the basic function of the position and are consistent with the Master Agreement
FTE: 1.0 FTE; Immediate Opening
Qualifications:
Hold a baccalaureate degree from a college or university that is accredited
Minnesota Department of Education spanish license
Minnesota READ Act Professional Development Requirement
In compliance with Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) guidelines, all Phase 1 licensed teachers in Minnesota must complete one of the three approved evidence-based reading professional development programs by July 1, 2026.
· If you have already completed one of the required trainings, please provide a copy of your certification with your application or upon hire.
· If you have not yet completed the training, FPS will support you in fulfilling this requirement through participating in the LETRS training program for school year 2025-26.
