Job Summary
The Logistics Specialist position will assist OHG in logistical program activities along with having the logistics lead in assisting specific programs. This position will report directly to the CEO.
The Logistics Specialist will work closely with the CEO for all logistical needs of several corporate programs. They will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, flexible, discrete, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with dedication to customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily logistical activities to support various corporate programs by providing administrative support
- Lead procurement initiatives through sourcing, negotiations, and completion of orders and contracts
- Coordinate and track the movement of goods and supplies to ensure timely delivery
- Assist with RFP/RFQ development and distribution
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records
- Develop and implement logistics processes and procedures to streamline activities and maintain quality levels
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers to facilitate efficient and effective logistics operations
- Liaison between prime contractors and subcontractors
- Work with OHGs Legal POC for agreement and document construction
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and publishing products
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both in speech and writing
- Must be able to conduct local/regional travel approximately 20% of work time using Privately Owned Vehicle (POV)
- Able to lift 25lbs on a continuous basis
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of relevant experience
- US Government contracting experience
- Active US Government security clearance
