Nikon Metrology is seeking an Industrial Microscope Imaging Support Specialist to maintain, support, and contribute to the development of all Industrial microscope imaging products and associated applications. This role will serve as a Field Manager, providing technical support to the sales team across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America.

Brighton, MI (Onsite)
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Approximately 30%
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Will include, but not limited to the following:
- Support and develop core and custom software applications
- Support and develop core and custom hardware applications
- Support and develop required documentation and training.
- Understand Industrial Microscope applications and provide advanced applications, hardware and support, as well as customized solutions to fulfill customer needs. The support can be provided remotely, from field offices, or at the customer site, as needed.
- Provide development direction to the Software Systems Department by interfacing with key customers to identify needs and requirements.
- Aid in the development of system product documentation such as installation procedures, acceptance criteria, user guides, technical notes and sales manuals.
- Assist with Pre-sales support, demonstrations, installations and Sales Staff training and customer training, as needed.
- Work with pre-release software builds to help QC the release as well as making sure that the workflow and results meet the application requirements,
- Work with Software Engineers to provide application guidance during the life cycle of product development.
- Work with the Marketing and Sales Management Team to help develop marketing materials and sales manuals
- Lead product installations, on-site service training, and facilitate advanced system installations as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Understand Industrial Microscope applications.
- 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and education
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to find novel solutions to advanced problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey abstract technical concepts to external customers and internal staff.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills, as well as the ability to adapt to different learning styles and effectively design training programs (Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and image acquisition/analysis software packages).
- Ability to work independently under challenging situations (time constraints, customer expectations, etc.).
- Multidisciplinary troubleshooting skills.
Certificates, License, Registrations:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
DESIRABLE:
- Experience with Nikon NIS-Elements software
FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge of instrument-grade digital cameras, image capture and analysis software.
- Ability to create, organize and instruct optical theory and imaging techniques.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to travel 30% (overnight).
- Ability to work outside of regularly scheduled work hours as needed.
