The Role:
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing and maintaining AllWork’s financial integrity. Reporting to the Controller, this position is responsible for core accounting functions, including month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This role also involves providing guidance on payroll, accounts receivable/payable, and other day-to-day accounting activities. The Senior Accountant will collaborate across departments to ensure accurate financial operations and support AllWork’s continued growth.
This position operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring 2–3 in-office days per week to foster collaboration and teamwork. Responsibilities include month-end close, financial reporting, addressing queries related to posting/booking, and managing account reconciliations.
The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $90,000 annually and includes eligibility for bonus and equity opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and post month-end journal entries and variance reports.
Compile monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for review by the Controller.
Conduct monthly reviews and reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
Update and maintain budgets and financial models in collaboration with the Controller.
Provide guidance to payroll, bookkeeping, accounts receivable/payable, and other accounting functions.
Assist the Controller and administrative staff with day-to-day financial reporting and inquiries.
Collaborate with the payroll and billing departments to ensure accurate client billing and proper recording of entries in the ERP system.
Manage fixed asset schedules, depreciation, and related entries.
Record, reconcile, and monitor bank loan and factor activity.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a strong general ledger (G/L) background.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Excel).
Knowledge of GAAP and experience in compliance-related activities.
Familiarity with payroll systems such as Paychex or ADP is a plus.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
