WE ARE LOOKING FOR ……
The Sr. Manager, Defense Aftermarket Sales will work closely with the sales management team to provide support with the maintenance, development, and growth of the business within their territory. Primary objectives will include guiding the team to meet or exceed annual sales goals, leading market strategy, developing sales strategy, and overseeing and supervising the team’s daily business operations.
What you’ll Do (Responsibilities)
As a Sr. Manager, Defense Aftermarket Sales you’ll be responsible for:
- Track the team's goals and performance expectations
- Retain and improve on current relationships with customers
- Identify and resolve current and potential challenges
- Motivate the team to improve and provide consistent customer service
- Develop and maintain direct relationships with aftermarket customers to understand their needs, identify their requirements, and acquire more business
- Manage and develop a team of account coordinators to ensure accounts are receiving the highest level of support
- Coach and train our customer’s sales representatives on the technical attributes, features, and benefits of our catalog of products to help them grow sales
- Direct and monitor all aspects of trade events and promotions to ensure maximum impact
- Conduct regular business reviews to provide accurate and timely updates on volume forecasts and to support the demand planning process
- Develop annual business growth strategies and sales plans in line with company priorities and initiatives that achieve or exceed designated sales targets
- Build strategic partnerships to include annual joint business planning meetings and appropriate top to top interactions
- Ensure that the sales team is adhering to FDHDA's sales policies and internal procedures
- Collect and analyze market data and competitive data to develop plans, examine trends, prepare reports, and recommend strategies to the management team
- Represent the company and our brands at trade shows and events
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics which will include client satisfaction, revenue growth, and account retention
- Promote and sell inventoried aviation parts in response to customers' Requests For Quotes (RFQs)
- Other duties as assigned
What You Bring (Qualifications & Skills)
- Bachelor’s degree graduate
- 8+ years prior experience in the military Defense Aftermarket Industry
- 5+ Years of leadership or management experience preferred
- Proven track record in Middle East Customer Engagement or OEM Partnerships
- Comprehensive understanding and control of accounts on hand
- Good understanding of U.S. Import/Export Laws and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
- Professional communication skills
- Good team leading and coaching skills
- Ability to remain calm while navigating confrontations and challenges
- Ability to multitask while remaining detail-oriented
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Good computer skills including Excel, Outlook, Words, and Power Point
Special Requirements:
- U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
- ITAR Requirement
- 120.15. Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
