Jefferies Finance is seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Business Analyst to support its internal applications and data infrastructure. This role will focus on issue investigation, testing, reporting, and user support across trading and financial systems. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills, experience with BI tools, and a solid understanding of data architecture and application maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate technical issues as the first line of defense, provide fixes or workarounds, and escalate to vendors when necessary.
- Test code fixes, new implementations, and upgrades; document test evidence and results.
- Coordinate and support user acceptance testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
- Perform upgrade testing and data reconciliations across systems.
- Prepare and distribute weekly/monthly reports; follow up with stakeholders on data inconsistencies and inquiries.
- Maintain and update the implementation tracker and data dictionary.
- Respond to user questions and develop training materials to support adoption and understanding of systems.
Technical Knowledge Required:
- Proficient in SQL and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with BI reporting tools and data visualization platforms.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data reconciliation, and code deployment.
- Prior experience with trading systems and financial applications.
- Familiarity with object-oriented principles and entity relationship diagrams (ERD).
- Knowledge of data quality control and governance best practices.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $100,000 - $120,000.

The salary offered will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and qualifications.
