PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This is an on-site position.
Process payroll related functions to include bi-weekly payroll processing for the entire organization and automated time-keeping system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain payroll data integrity in the HRIS system
- Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions and employee demographics information
- Prepare general ledger and routine monthly reports
- Calculate and process special check runs
- Review, analyze and check payroll reports for accuracy
- Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
- Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests for audits, 401K compliance, and subpoena’s
- Acts as liaison with employees in answering questions.
- Process department invoices and purchase orders on SAP.
- Process payroll using ADP Workforce now.
All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or bachelor’s degree; American Payroll Association (APA) - Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) a plus
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 years of experience processing payroll for a mid to large company
SKILLS:
- Knowledge of payroll tracking, reconciliation and reporting
- Knowledge of the federal & government regulations
- Policies and procedures of payroll processing
- Skill in working independently, multitasking, prioritizing projects and meeting deadlines
- Skill in using analytical and research skills in performance of job duties
- Accurate data input, proficient with Excel and Microsoft Office
- ADP Workforce Now experience a plus
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including grammar and punctuation in both English & Spanish
