Hybrid Photographer IV at D2 Government Solutions

D2 Government Solutions (D2GS) is seeking one full time candidate for Photographer IV at the Naval Submarine Support Facility, New London, CT site.

Responsibilities:

• Be proficient in the use of special-purpose cameras and related equipment for assignments in which the photographer usually makes all the technical decisions, although the objective of the pictures is determined by the operating officials.
• Plan the technical photographic effects desired by operating officials.
• Discuss modifications and improvements to their original ideas of light of the potential and limits of the equipment
• Improvise photographic methods and techniques or select and alter secondary photographic features (e.g., scenes, backgrounds, colors, lighting). Many assignments only afford one opportunity to photograph the subject.
• Common assignments include personnel photographs for official government presentation, military service jackets, and passports; machine or motor parts to show wear or corrosion in minute wires or gears; work, repair sites, or workers in prescribed detail for organizational presentations; official events; and other related projects with artistic or technical design layouts requiring precise equipment settings.
• Shall be able to work independently but may at times be required to consult with more experienced photographers, if available, or through referred sources.

Qualifications:

• Educational & Experience Requirements: Minimum of three (3) years of general experience in commercial art and two (2) years of specialized audiovisual graphic arts, multimedia creation, and presentation authoring experience.
• Be able to successfully complete a Tier 1 Background Investigation.
• Be able to maintain a T3 SECRET Clearance throughout the duration of the contract.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
