Role:

The Indirect Loan Funding Specialist is responsible for processing all indirect loan/lease contracts received from the credit union's dealer partners and Third-Party Lending vendors, ensuring accuracy and completeness of each contract packet. This role demands a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The specialist provides comprehensive support to dealer partners, Third-Party Lending vendors, and internal team members. Additionally, the specialist serves as a knowledgeable resource on the loan origination system, policies, regulations, procedures, practices, products, services, and related questions.

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

60%     Exhibits expertise in all areas related to funding contracts and preparing loan/lease documents for indirect dealer partners and Third-Party Lending vendors. Ensures each loan packet is prepared and processed in a timely manner with the highest level of accuracy. Finalizes the application in the loan originating system and disperses loan proceeds to the dealership or Third-Party Lender.

 

20%     Provides assistance to dealer partners and Third-Party Lending vendors through a variety of communication channels (i.e. phone, email, fax, loan origination system, etc.). Utilizes problem-solving and decision-making skills to ensure vendors, dealers, front-line staff and members are provided with exceptional service.

 

10%     Supports and assists with the other advanced functions of the Lending Services Department, which is not limited to title processing, branch lending support, quality control etc.

 

10%     Proactively performs other related duties as required.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: One to three years of similar or related experience.

 

Education: A high school education or GED.

 

Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.

 

Other Skills: Accuracy and attention to detail are critical. Ability to prioritize and multitask. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Resourcefulness in solving problems and providing solutions. Strong computer skills with Word, Excel, Outlook and other relevant software.

 

Physical Requirements: Some lifting required (up to 30 pounds), continuous sitting, occasional standing and occasional walking. Finger dexterity while using computer. Occasional talking and hearing in person and on the telephone. Continuous clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and continuous clarity of vision at 20 feet or more. Ability to drive a motor vehicle or arrange for own transportation.

 

Work Environment: Normal workday with occasional overtime. May require working Saturdays or Sunday. Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery.
