SUMMARY
Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on all vehicles in accordance with the Grady Health System Policies & Procedures and the EMS operations manual to ensure the readiness of all assigned emergency and non-emergency vehicles through the application of industry standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required and experience to job field is required
- Two (2) years of heavy/medium vehicle mechanic experience in diagnosing, repairing and maintaining automobiles, vans, SUVs, and trucks.
ASE certification in Light Vehicle Diesel Engines required within 12 months of hire date. Current employees hired prior to October 21, 2012 will be “grandfathered” on ASE certification but must acquire required ASE certification by November 1, 2014.
Valid Driver's License is with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record is required. Must maintain acceptable MVR per department policy throughout employment.
