Hybrid Warehouse Clerk at SSI Foods LLC

Description

This position will oversee the daily operations of all shipping and receiving processes. 

Responsibilities of the clerk include but are not limited to:

· Answer phone calls as directed

· Assist vendors as needed

· Maintain filing systems and records

· Prepare the required documentation; labels, sheets, BOL and Seals

· Provide reports per management request and/or as needed

· Maintain integrity and confidentiality throughout the department

· Perform other tasks and clerical roles as assigned

Requirements

· Ability to follow directions, work independently and work well in a team

· Ability to verbally communicate with other departments, customers, and vendors

· Able to read and comprehend specifications and use them to   accomplish tasks

· Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn our system 

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software

· Excellent organizational skills, time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines

· Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing

Education and Experience

· High school diploma or equivalent required

· One year experience in an administrative role required

· Warehouse experience preferred

· Internal transfers -  worked at least 6 months in prior position

· Completion of on-the-job training may be substituted for educational requirements

Physical Requirements

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. 

· Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.

· Able to work within the manufacturing plant as needed.

· Ability to move in, around and under equipment.

· Work in a refrigerated environment.
