Role Overview
Place Managers provide a consistent, visible, and service-oriented presence in and around BART restrooms and elevators. This station-based, standing, and walking position is focused on greeting patrons, observing, reporting, engaging, and supporting high-traffic public spaces.
Staff are expected to welcome all patrons warmly, uphold Radical Hospitality, politely enforce space use guidelines, promptly report cleanliness and safety needs, and maintain professional standards throughout the shift.
For this role, you must be a true people person with excellent professional appearance, impeccable personal grooming, outstanding verbal and nonverbal communication skills, and relentless patience for public service.

Minimum Qualifications
- 18 years or older, authorized to work in the U.S.
- No employment gaps longer than 6 months
- No repeated short-term stints (under 3 months unless seasonal or explained)
- Previous customer service, hospitality, concierge, or other public-facing experience
- Reliable transportation or ability to use public transit during BART operating hours (5:00 AM–1:30 AM)
- Willing and able to follow strict uniform, phone/media, and grooming policies
- Comfortable using digital tools for reporting and timekeeping
- Weekend and holiday availability required
Work Schedule
The program operates 365 days/year, including weekends and holidays. Shifts include:
- Opening: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- Midday: 1:00 PM – 5:30 PM
- Closing: 5:00 PM – 1:30 AM
Employees must have reliable, punctual attendance for assigned shifts.
