PURPOSE
Purpose: To support both video and social teams with video post-production and motion design. This hybrid role combines strong video editing skills with the ability to create dynamic motion graphics, resulting in content that is visually striking, on-brand, and engaging across all channels.
RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
 
  • Edit raw footage into polished video projects, ensuring a cohesive narrative and pacing.
  • Design and integrate motion graphics (titles, lower thirds, animated infographics, logo stings) into video content.
  • Perform color correction, sound syncing, and audio enhancements for a professional finish.
  • Collaborate closely with creative directors, designers, and producers to bring concepts to life.
  • Develop templates, transitions, and animated elements to streamline workflows.
  • Export and optimize final videos for various platforms (social, web, internal presentations).
  • Stay current with video editing trends, motion design styles, and emerging software tools.

 
COMPETENCIES

  • Proven experience in video editing and motion graphics, with a strong portfolio showcasing both.
  • Solid understanding of visual storytelling, composition, typography, and animation principles.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects on tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and openness to feedback in a collaborative environment.
  • Clearly present expectations, processes, and policies in a way that leads to the right outcome.
  • Ability to provide objective solutions to ministry issues/complaints.
  • Ability to self-motivate and make independent decisions.
  • Knowledgeable in all necessary systems that Victory Church uses to manage volunteers and report appropriate information and analytics at the organizational level.
  • Time management skills.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience with 3D animation or VFX
  • Knowledge of social media video trends (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts)
  • Familiarity with audio design, stock footage, and asset libraries

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • 3 years post production Experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Macintosh
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
COMPUTER / SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Proficient in Mac and Microsoft 365 applications
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects; experience with DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, Illustrator, or Cinema 4D/Blender is a plus.
  • Understanding of database management
  • ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
