Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for management of all commercial activities with assigned account area including identification and contact of new customers, new business identification, maintaining current business, proactive issue resolution, strategic multi-step thinking, pricing actions with logic, improving service levels, and maximizing customer satisfaction.

Excellent People Skills

  • Be capable of building meaningful working relationships with people of all personality types and backgrounds, both internally and externally. Strong conflict resolution skills and high emotional intelligence are essential.

Entrepreneurialism/Ownership

  • Take ownership of the entire customer relationship with little supervision and achieve the desired end results. Raise issues quickly to secure additional support when needed but accept responsibility if a target is missed.

Technical Ability

  • Possess both curiosity and ability to quickly understand, and succinctly communicate, technical information about products and customer applications. Creativity and problem-solving ability are essential.

Perseverance

  • Persevere through setbacks and difficult situations to achieve your goals, sometimes having to lead or assist other departments in completing their core responsibilities if team success depends on it.

  • Can manage multiple projects and priorities at once while maintaining attention to detail and not letting anything important fall through the cracks. Recognize and allocate time to key priorities, balancing what is most important with what is most urgent.

IT & Mathematical Ability

  • Be proficient in using multiple different software applications with speed and accuracy, particularly MS Excel, PowerPoint and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Be comfortable creating complex spreadsheets to analyze situations such as multiple pricing scenarios as they relate to future sales, profits and capital payback.

Strategic Thinking

  • Be capable of generating (with assistance) 5-year strategic plans for key customers, the result of which is a list of clear, feasible actions with defined timing. Identify future internal and external pitfalls in projects and customer relationships long before they occur.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or B.A degree in Business Management, Engineering (Mechanical, Aeronautical, Manufacturing or equivalent)
  • Aggressive self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to details requiring minimal supervision
  • 3-5 years automotive Account Management experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and “hunter” mentality
  • Ability to travel to FNST production sites and customers as required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • High emotional intelligence
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude
  • Project management experience a plus
  • Engineering experience with automotive seals, polymers, and/or electric vehicle systems are a significant plus.
