Education / Training

• Some college required, Bachelors in Human Resources or Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience preferred;
• Professional certification in Human Resources preferred.

Key Job Elements

• Building and maintaining employee records in accordance with corporate standards;
• Ensuring compliance with local and corporate HR polices and procedures;
• Serve as a point of contact to employees for all HR related topics;
• Process employee payroll;
• Timely submission of forms and documents to corporate HR;
• Process all employee leave paperwork;
• Administer employee benefit plans;
• Conduct candidate interviews and hiring process;
• Process company responses to unemployment claims;
• Interpret and advise employees on company policies;
• Special projects and event planning.

Qualifications and Experience

• 3-5 years as an HR professional in a heavy manufacturing environment;
• Ability to create and present information to a large group;
• Proven written and verbal communication skills;
• Experience in Kronos and HRIS;
• Attention to detail;
• Knowledge of laws regarding employment law, employee benefits, leave and accommodations;
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing priorities.
