Primary Objective of Position: We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to support the design and development of vehicle systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both 2D and 3D CAD environments, with proficiency in AutoCAD, Siemens NX, and Teamcenter. This role plays a critical part in translating engineering concepts into manufacturable designs for vehicles in the automotive, heavy truck, and RV industries.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Create detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD for layouts, schematics, and production documentation.
- Develop 3D models and assemblies in Siemens NX for components and systems including body structures, interiors, and electrical routing.
- Maintain and manage CAD data within Teamcenter PLM system, ensuring version control and proper documentation.
- Work closely with engineering teams to interpret design requirements and translate them into CAD models.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and compliant with standards.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on manufacturability and serviceability.

Education & Experience
- Associate’s in Mechanical Design or Drafting Technology or relevant equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of CAD design experience in the automotive, heavy truck, or RV industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and Siemens NX (3D).
- Experience with Teamcenter or similar PLM systems.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, design for manufacturability, and vehicle packaging.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
