VicRoads is progressing too. In August 2022, we started on a new chapter when the Victorian State Government partnered with Aware Super, Australian Retirement Trust, and Macquarie Asset Management to operate registration and licensing services on its behalf.

We work collaboratively with the Victorian State Government to ensure we fulfill regulatory requirements, deliver State projects and safeguard customer data. The Victorian State Government retains sole responsibility for road access, infrastructure and safety.

About the opportunity

The Product Manager will be responsible for the delivery, performance, and continuous improvement of both new and existing products, ensuring they drive strong commercial outcomes and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

This role will apply leading product management practices, working collaboratively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and shape product opportunities. This includes analysing customer needs, market trends, and product requirements to inform product strategy and execution.

About you

  • Proven experience managing the full lifecycle of digital products, including developing a vision, building and executing product roadmaps, conducting analysis, and leading product marketing initiatives.
  • Skilled in influencing and aligning multiple stakeholders to drive product strategies forward and secure buy-in for key decisions.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrated track record of delivering products that meet or exceed financial and performance targets.
  • Hands-on experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including technology, UX/UI, and go-to-market teams, to deliver high-quality digital products.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely convey complex ideas in both written and verbal formats.
  • Analytical thinker with a strong ability to solve complex problems using logic, data, and customer insight.
  • (Desirable) Experience working in regulatory or large-scale transformation environments, with the ability to navigate and deliver within high levels of ambiguity.
