SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Count Team Supervisor, safeguards the asset of the Casino by removing, exchanging, collecting, transferring, and accurately counting cash boxes from gaming machines and ticket redemption kiosks in accordance with established policies, procedures, and gaming regulations.
Due to the nature of this role, the Team Member is paid according to the daily task completion. The Team Member is expected to arrive on schedule to complete the necessary drop and count responsibilities and is expected to stay through completion of these tasks. The Team Member will then be paid a minimum of a full 8-hour shift at their hourly rate if the Team Member stays through the completion of both tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for opening, removing, and securing currency from the slot machines.
- Adheres to all Drop/Count policies and procedures.
- Accurately counts slot machine currency drop and tickets.
- Operates electronic currency counter/sorter.
- Prepares and bundles the currency drop for verification.
- Separates slot ticket and currency from gaming machines.
- Informs supervisor of any discrepancies and variances.
- Maintains the highest level of confidentiality.
- Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
- Must be able to work the required work schedule, which includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Team Member is required to be physically involved in the drop and count process.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 6 months cash handling experience.
- Basic Math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Excellent interpersonal skills required.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must be strong in the use of a computer and keyboard including Microsoft Office. Must be able to learn and apply other software needed for daily tasks.
- Strong written and oral communication skills required. Ability to interact and communicate in both group and individual settings. Must be able to collaborate with all levels of the organization on projects and daily needs.
- Strong organization and analytical skills required.
- Ability to read, analyze, and act upon documents and reports necessary.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts required.
- Ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Must be able to maintain appropriate Gaming License.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
- This job requires the Team Member to stand and walk for the entirety of their shift.
- This role requires the use of hands to grasp, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
- Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, bend, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
- This casino has an enclosed gaming area where smoking is allowed. Team members may be exposed to a smoking environment in or around this designated smoking area.
