Purpose:  

The Senior Director of People will set and drive the strategic direction for People Operations at Edible Brands, partnering with the Vice President of People and the Senior Leadership Team. This role oversees People Operations and core Talent Management functions, including total rewards, performance management, leadership development, compliance, HRIS, payroll, employee relations, and engagement. This role will also partner closely with Talent Acquisition to ensure hiring strategies are fully integrated into workforce planning and organizational growth. 

 

Location: This position will work onsite out of our Corporate Office in Sandy Springs, GA Monday – Friday.  

 
Responsibilities:  

            Strategic Leadership 

  • Shape and lead the vision for People Operations and Talent Management, ensuring alignment with business goals, growth plans, and company culture.
  • Advise executives on workforce needs, capability gaps, and change management strategies to strengthen organizational effectiveness.
  • Anticipate future talent needs by aligning development, retention and acquisition strategies.
  • Mentor and develop the People Operations team, fostering innovation, accountability, and a high-performance culture.

            Operations & Talent Management 

  • Oversee performance management, leadership development, and succession planning programs that identify and grow top talent.
  • Lead a competitive, equitable total rewards strategy that supports attraction, retention, and recognition.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition leadership to ensure hiring strategies align with workforce planning, succession priorities, and leadership development efforts.
  • Streamline People processes and systems to improve efficiency, compliance, and the employee experience.

            Data & Technology 

  • Direct HR technology and analytics strategy to deliver actionable insights and integrated systems.
  • Introduce innovations that enhance decision-making, operational efficiency, and employee engagement.

            Culture & Compliance 

  • Champion culture and engagement initiatives that build connection, belonging, and retention.
  • Ensure enterprise-wide compliance with all employment laws, and maintain up-to-date, consistently applied policies.
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, ethics, and professionalism.

Experience & Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership, including 5+ years in a senior role with enterprise-wide impact.
  • Proven success driving People Operations and Talent Management strategies that improve retention, engagement, and organizational performance.
  • Expertise in employment law, benefits strategy, performance systems, and HR technology.
  • Experience shaping or partnering on Talent Acquisition strategy at the leadership level, with understanding of workforce planning and executive recruitment.
  • Experience influencing and collaborating at the executive level, with a track record of leading change.
  • Strong ability to leverage analytics for strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Skilled communicator and relationship-builder with high integrity and sound judgment.
