The Role:

We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated student with the goal of being a Quality Engineer who brings enthusiasm, energy, and expertise to the table. In this role, you’ll assist in creating, improving, and maintaining quality systems as they relate to manufacturing needs and customer/dealer requirements for the overall quality, while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals. What You’ll Be Doing:

• Establish inspection processes, procedures, and thresholds, including identification of appropriate measurement tools, frequency of measurement, recording of data, and creation of standard operating procedures

• Conduct inspections, audits, and process evaluations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshoot quality issues, and implement corrective actions
• Provide direction to manufacturing, suppliers, and supporting departments regarding process improvements and effective countermeasure techniques for non-conforming goods and warrantable items

What We’re Looking For:

• Working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering
• Ability to work around 20 hours per week
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, acting with a sense of urgency to mitigate organizational risk
• Ability to prioritize work and manage time with limited guidance.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness in accordance with company safety policies.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening

 What Sets You Apart:

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, researching, and multi-tasking skills
• Proficient knowledge of Power BI, and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication skills with the ability to visualize data and support meetings at all levels of the company, including senior management
• Technical experience and troubleshooting capability

 Where and When You’ll Work:

• This is an in-person role, located at our East Chicago, IN facility, which is ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.
• Monday through Friday, TBD Hours (will work around your school hours)

Wage - $21.50 per hour
