Position Overview:

The Marketing Manager Digital is a critical member of the Marketing team who will partner with business leaders to develop and implement the vision, marketing strategies and digital product initiatives that support company growth within through SiteOne’s digital properties.

 

The manager will work closely with the IT, Digital, Category teams, and the Integrated Marketing team to develop and execute marketing strategy and lead the commercial strategy for SiteOne’s digital properties.  This role will set program strategies and objectives and will be responsible for briefing marketing partners and agencies on key strategy, messaging, promotions, and campaigns in order to drive business growth and customer engagement in the digital environment. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends and consumer online purchasing behavior in both a retail environment (B2C) as well as a business customer (B2B) relationship.

 

This role will serve as the marketing Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the digital go-to-market strategy and assist in driving that knowledge across the marketing department. This role will also take the lead on identifying and assisting with content needs to support educational opportunities for our customer base.

 

The manager will work closely with the Project Manager and the Digital Project Owner to create an experience that will drive customer engagement, satasifcation and loyalty.

 

The manager will work closely with our Analytics team to develop and use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to use data to drive rational strategies and product positioning.

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Learn and understand professional (B2B) and DIY Homeowner (B2C) customer perspectives and needs to develop and refine marketing strategies and improve customer targeting and messaging to effectively manage the customer lifecycle.
  • Support market research and analysis to understand customer needs, market trends and competitors.
  • Immerse themself with the media channel team to drive effective and efficient marketing spend to lower the customer acquisition costs.
  • Build strong working partnerships with Digital and Project leaders and build well-rounded knowledge of products, customers, and their needs relative to online engagement and purchases.
  • Develop compelling digital product and promotional strategies that lead to campaigns across the available channels that meet business objectives and deliver results.
  • Work closely with the content team to deliver rich and engaging content that creates customer value and loyalty.
  • Drive an ROI mindset across the marketing organization – measure everything.
  • Understand business challenges and creatively problem solve.
  • Outgoing personality with excellent communications skills to engage internal and external customers.
  • Drive effective budget management to grow the customer file within the allotted budget.
  • Leadership and the ability to collaborate.
  • Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks; good time-management, organizational, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills.
  • Develop and maintain scalable systems to facilitate line of business objectives and strategies.
  • Strong analytical ability with active listening skills.

  • Willingness and flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines.
Skills We Are Seeking::
  • 7 – 10 years’ experience in marketing within a B2B and B2C digital environment with strong analytical skills to analyze data, track trends and make data driven decisions.
  • 7 – 10 years’ experience with marketing to both Business (B2B) and Retail Customers (B2C) through digital properties with a strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including SEO, SEM, Social Media, email marketing, and content marketing.
  • Experience working with product teams.
  • Experience with product lifecycle and product marketing principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, business, or marketing.
  • Great communication skills, including presenting and training abilities.
  • Planning and project management skills.
  • Knowledge and experience delivering an engaging customer experience through Shopify.
  • Entrepreneurial personality a must.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to deal with highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Green Industry or Distribution experience preferred.
  • MBA is desired.
