As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Systems Engineer, you will provide technical leadership on major tasks and technology assignments for a federal law enforcement customer.
You will establish goals and plans that meet project objectives while leveraging your exceptional expertise in systems engineering, particularly for forensic and investigative ecosystems. Your decision-making and
domain knowledge will have a critical impact on overall project implementation.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate, design, develop and implement additions and changes to network hardware, infrastructure server environments, and operating systems
- Provide direct support in day-to-day operations of network hardware and operating systems at both physical and logical network levels in planning, design, technical review and implementation for new network infrastructure
- Perform systems engineering management and integration functions across multi-enclave environments (Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret)
- Maintain network infrastructure standards including communication protocols such as TCP/IP
- Diagnose and resolve complex communication problems
- Ensure systems are current with approved patches and assist with certification and accreditation tasks
- Develop strategy for client/server systems and design infrastructure to support that strategy
- Advise on selection of technological purchases for processing, data storage, data access, and applications development
- Set standards for client/server relational database structure
Required Qualifications:
- Must have an Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI); Able to pass a background check and polygraph examination
- US Citizenship is required.
- Bachelor's degree Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field
- 10 years of experience in systems engineering or a related engineering field.
- Experience with SAFe Agile framework
- Strong understanding of forensic and investigative system requirements
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing secure systems in government environments
- Experience using Virtualization technologies (VSphere, VXRail, Proxmox, Nutanix) and Cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, SC2S, C2S)
- Experience with Hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure and Cross-domain solutions
- Experience supporting a Linux and Windows operating systems, Windows Active Directory, and Network hardware (Cisco, Arista, SonicWall)
- Experience using Docker, Kubernetes; Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Security accreditation processes, LDAP/OpenLDAP, ADFS, Keycloak,Tunneling protocols (GRE, IPSec, SSH, SSL)
- Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools, Elasticsearch, Splunk, and other data platforms, Python and C# for automation and scripting and Database technologies (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL)

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
