JOB SUMMARY
The Accounts Payable Manager will oversee the entire accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, managing vendor relationships, and leading a team of AP professionals. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who is highly organized with great attention to detail and an entrepreneurial mindset to identify improvements and help manage change in a dynamic, hyper-growth environment.
CORE JOB DUTIES
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable, including invoice processing, payment disbursement, and reconciliation.
- Supervise and mentor the AP team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Develop and implement AP policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and resolve any payment discrepancies or issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and analyze AP reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall financial operations.
- Monitor and manage AP aging reports, ensuring timely payments and minimizing overdue invoices.
- Lead AP-related projects and initiatives to enhance the department's performance.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AP processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a highly organized manner
