About the Role

Timbertruss are excited to recruit for the position of Estimating Operations Manager based in Corio. Reporting to the Head of Estimation this key leadership position will play a critical role in driving the success of our business by leading and managing all estimating functions in Victoria, India and Vietnam and exploring new technologies to support the Estimating department.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead day-to-day operations of all estimating teams, ensuring optimal resource utilisation, workflow efficiency, and delivery of estimating outputs that meet company standards and customer requirements.

  • Coordinate department resources efficiently to meet business demands and ensure business commercial and operational performance targets are met.

  • Collaborate with various internal departments to ensure smooth coordination of all client requirements.

  • Ensure exceptional customer service delivery, manage client relationships, resolve estimating-related issues promptly, to support customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Oversee quality standards, implement quality control processes, monitor error rates and drive continuous improvement initiatives to maintain high-quality estimating outputs.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven ability to lead and manage high-performing teams.

  • Strong understanding of estimating processes, construction industry practices, building regulations and standards.

  • Experience in coordinating operations across multiple geographies (time zones), locations or teams, ensuring alignment of processes and standards in distributed work environments.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience in performance management, team development, training coordination, and succession planning.

  • Strong analytical capabilities with ability to interpret performance data, identify trends and issues and develop solutions.

  • Proficient in using estimating software (MiTek, MAJIC) and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Continuous improvement mindset.
