Position: Store Manager
Location: Childers
Employment Type: Max-Term (12 months) | Part-Time 30hrs Mon-Fri 9am-4pm
Classification: General Retail Employee Level 6

About the role:

As the Family Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily retail, recycling, and administrative operations of the store. You'll ensure it operates efficiently, aligns with The Salvation Army's values, and provides a welcoming and positive experience for all customers and volunteers.

 How you will make an impact: 

  • Manage day-to-day store operations, ensuring a clean, organised, and well-stocked retail space
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a strong community presence
  • Monitor store performance, regularly reviewing financials and identifying opportunities for growth or improvement
  • Lead, train, and support a team of staff and volunteers to ensure a positive and productive work environment
  • Oversee the marketing and presentation of goods, including social media engagement and local promotions
  • Work closely with the Bundaberg Family Store team to ensure brand consistency and compliance with internal policies

What you will be bring:

  • Experience in Retail preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in retail management – preferred
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in mentoring and training staff
  • Confident using POS systems, Microsoft Office, and general computer applications
  • A reasonable level of physical fitness to meet the demands of the role
  • A current valid Driver’s Licence – essential
  • A current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
